My teenage daughter and I booked a 3-hour private cooking class here, at the recommendation of our tour guide. Of all the amazing things we did on our vacation to Mexico City, this was definitely a top highlight. I've had a longtime interest in cooking with fresh ingredients, and in Mexican culture and food, and I speak Spanish well enough for traveling experiences. My daughter has a newer interest in cooking and speaks no Spanish. The way the class was structured allowed both of us to be engaged and learn so much. Both of the chefs who guided us were clearly accomplished and worked well together as a team. The main chef and owner of the café, Luis Alfonso Garduño, had a rather serious approach to teaching the cooking techniques (only in Spanish) and educating us about Mexican culture. His teaching partner, Ricardo Bonilla, translated everything into English and had a more personal and friendly style. Working with both chefs allowed a complete experience where we felt at ease, improved our cooking skills, and made amazing food. The menu was mostly set by Chef Garduño, but we made arroz con leche for dessert at our request because it's my daughter's favorite. They did require us to transfer the entire fee in order to book the class, but I can understand why. The menu required many fresh ingredients (especially for the mole) and everything was completely prepared when we arrived for a smooth learning experience. I would highly recommend a class to anyone who wants to take a deeper dive into Mexican food and culture. Or if you just want some good coffee, stop by the cafe!

For coffee fans of all types this place is quite amazing. Sixteen methods of making coffee. At least two roasting machines. Several varieties of Mexican beans. We had a Michoacán one day and Jalisco two days later. Unusually good flavor. We had flat whites, prepared perfectly. We also had great sandwiches. Highly recommended.

One of the best places for true COFFEE lovers. Not pretentious or hyped up drinks. They have such variations such as French Press, cold brews, and pour overs. Their cappuccino and latte was one of the best I have ever had. (Honestly) if you are in a rush for a quick cup of coffee, this is not the place for you.
